Constantin Hartenstein
Constantin Hartenstein is an artist based in Berlin. He studied at University of the Arts Berlin and Braunschweig University of Art with Professor Candice Breitz. In 2011, he worked for the German Pavilion at the 2011 Venice Art Biennale as a film producer.
Hartenstein participated in several artist in residency programs such as Triangle Arts Association New York (USA), Grand Central Art Center, Santa Ana (USA), Flux Factory, New York (USA) and Künstlerdorf Schöppingen (D). He is the recipient of numerous prizes and awards such as "Kraft Prize for New Media" 2013, „IFA Künstlerkontakte" project grant, video art prize "BRAWO" (D), "Stichting Stokroos" project grant (NL), "Kunststiftung NRW" residency grant (D) and the "Karl Hofer Gesellschaft" studio grant (D). In 2012, he was selected to participate in the "VISIO emerging artists“ workshop in Florence, Italy. In 2013, he co-founded I SEE International Video Art Festival with Clemens Wilhelm. His works are included in public and private collections; and have been exhibited and screened at international institutions.
