Teiko Ang Zheng [b. 1993, Amoy, China] is a visual artist based in Chicago IL, US, whose work engages with photographic image and written text. His interest lies in the modulation of queer storytelling through both visual and textual form.

In the summer of 2019, Teiko came to Berlin for the first time, and he was overcome with delight for Christopher Isherwood came to Berlin the same age as he did. For Instinct #8, Teiko will present photographic portraits made with his Berlin queer encounters, along with texts reflecting on the idea of a home of one’s own.

Teiko is currently a MFA candidate at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in the Department of Photography. He is the recipient of the SAIC Enrichment Scholarship.
